Phenomenon generated by internal mixer under water pressure rotor sealing

In the case of water pressure rotor sealing (WYH), the sealing position is closer to the rotor and located inside the end of the mixing chamber frame. The inner rotating sliding ring is fixed on the rotor shaft. The outer fixing ring is tightly pressed against it through a yoke sleeve. The contact pressure is generated through the hydraulic cylinder and disc spring assembly, and the pressure is transmitted to the pressure ring of the outer sliding ring through the yoke sleeve. The lubrication method is similar to the GA rotor sealing system. Due to the fact that the cross-sectional direction of the sealing system will shift towards the mixing chamber, fine materials will bond in the shaft gap between the rotor and the wear-resistant disc.

Comparing these two systems (GA and WYH sealing systems), it is evident that the sealing position is a significant factor in the difference between the two. Due to its proximity to the rotor, the WYH sealing system only has a small dead angle where material may accumulate. On the other hand, the moving and abrasive fillers can easily enter the sliding surface directly, which has a negative impact on the wear of the equipment. The GA sealing system has a relatively long annular gap, and due to the long retention time of the powder in the annular gap, it can be better bonded by oil. Therefore, sliding surfaces can be better protected and the force of sealing loading can be minimized. However, at the same time, the risk of some materials accumulating in the annular gap increases, and sealing oil is particularly important here.
